Applications Engineer Position

Murrplastik Systems is a global leader in the cable management sector of the industrial automation field. Due to the continuing growth of our robotic dresspack product line, we are seeking a full-time engineer with a SolidWorks background and 1-3 years minimum engineering work experience. The ideal candidate will possess the following: familiarity with 6 axis robots, cable harnessing, ability to follow a project from inception to implementation, creative thinking, self-starter, multi-tasking, ability to travel domestically & internationally, strong inter-personal skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. The Opportunity

Murrplastik is seeking an Applications Engineer for the production, development, and design of cable management solutions for industrial robots. This position will also provide technical support for all Murrplastik product lines.
Job Duties:

  • Utilize SolidWorks to perform routine designs, calculations, and simulations
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed, labeled, and properly documented internally
  • Establish design standards, techniques, and procedures to produce accurate and quality products
  • Ability to design, read, and apply electrical prints and schematics
  • Assist with the production, assembly, installation, and optimization of robotic dresspacks
  • Review and perform quality checks on robotic dress packs
  • Collect and analyze data for process improvement
  • Technical Support and troubleshooting for Murrplastik marking/labeling systems, cable drag chains, conduit, and panel entry products
  • Perform tests and evaluations on robotic dress packs and new product development

Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 1-3 years of experience is preferred
  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar is required
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes

Electrical Assembly Technician

The Opportunity

Murrplastik is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician to assist in the production and development of cable management solutions for industrial robots. This position will also assist in developing new internal processes to
streamline the production of dress packages for industrial robots. Acquire the knowledge and skills of working with a growing and fast paced multinational company.

Job Duties:

  • Solder, crimp, cut, and route wires according to schematics
  • Strip and heat shrink electrical conductors
  • Terminate all electrical wiring according to schematics using proper tools
  • Test robotic dress packages for functional performance
  • Work from wiring prints and schematics
  • Assist with the production and assembly of robotic dress packs
  • Occasional on-site visit to customers to trouble shoot electrical issues
  • Cut cables to specified lengths using wire cutters
  • Identify and assemble connectors for in house testing unit
  • Confer with engineering to plan and review production and quality
  • Route conductors on Cable Eye testing unit

Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical degree in electronics field or trade school certificate
  • Fork lift experience is a plus
  • Experience with Fanuc robots is a plus

Customer Service Associate

As an international company, we operate a global network of branches and offices in France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, the United States and China, and are also represented by many independent sales offices in Europe, North and South America, Africa, Australia and Asia.

Due to company expansion, Murrplastik Systems has an immediate opening for a Customer Service Associate at our Milford, OH branch located at 1175 US Hwy 50. We are seeking well qualified, enthusiastic people to help maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction and continued growth of our business. Normal schedule is 8am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and emails in an efficient manner
  • Identify customer questions, concerns, and overall needs
  • Maintain customer relationship by responding to inquiries including, but not limited to, sales order entry, sample request processing, quoting, providing product information.
  • Records customer inquiries by documenting inquiry and response in our ERP system.
  • Address customer complaints in a compassionate and patient manner
  • Redirect customers to appropriate teams and/or departments as needed
  • Follow company communication procedures, policies, and guidelines at all times
  • Collaborate with immediate team, other customer service teams, sales team, and other company departments to ensure overall customer and product satisfaction
  • Maintain customer relationship by responding to inquiries including, but not limited to, sales order entry, sample request processing, quoting, providing product information.

Job Requirements:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent. College degree preferred. 
  • Proficiency with MS Office. Prior experience with SAGE 100 and SAP preferred.
  • Strong sense of professionalism and discretion required.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, other personnel and the public. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. 
  • Working hours are 8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday, including one hour lunch break.
